  • The BCA-4310 is an instrument designed to charge, trickle charge and analyze (discharge) Nickel-Cadmium, Sealed Lead-Acid and other types of rechargeable batteries.
  • With is four channels (three charge and one discharge), the BCA-4310 can satisfy a higher throughput rate requirement while maintaining safer, factory recommended charging techniques.
  • With its multiple modes of operation of Constant Current Charge, Constant Current & Float Charge, Constant Current & Stop at Peak Charge, Automatic Discharge (analysis) and Full Discharge (deep cycle), the BCA-4310 can satisfy the requirements of most small (0 to 10 A-hr) rechargeable battery systems.
  • The BCA-4310 is an instrumentation quality Charger-Analyzer, augmented with safety features to protect the operator, the charger and the battery in the event of reversed polarity connection, short circuit, open circuit (no load) and overvoltage conditions.
  • A Microprocessor based timer (battery backed-up) permits individual and independent programming of each of the four channels.
  • Two large LED digital meters provide the simultaneous monitoring of voltage and current (selectable, per channel), plus, indicators inform of the status of the operation on each channel.

  5. VOLTAGE CONTROL

    6. Adjustable: Usable from 00.0 to 40.0V on charge, and from 3.00 to 40.0V on discharge.

    7. Voltage: 3-1/2 digit, LED digital panel meter, 0 to 19.99 and 199.9V scales.
    Current: 3-1/2 digit, LED digital panel meter, 0 to 1.999A scale for charge and 0 to 19.99A scale for discharge.

  7. STATUS INDICATORS

    8. GREEN - Output on: continuous while the unit is running, pulsating (with beeper) to indicate Cycle End.
    RED - Fault: continuous (with beeper), to indicate over voltage, reverse polarity or open circuit.
    RED - Capacity failure: continuous (with beeper), to indicate low battery voltage on analysis.

  8. CONTROLS

    9. Mode selector switch (one per channel), timer keypad, voltmeter scale selector switch, channel selector switch, voltage selector (one per channel) and current selector (one per channel).

  9. OVERCURRENT PROTECTION

    10. Line input, Charge output and Discharge output fuses.

  10. TIMER

    11. Microprocessor, crystal based, programmable for each channel, with HH:MM time programming. Also MM:SS for faster cycles and for testing.

    12. 115/230VAC +-10%, 50-60Hz.
