Battery Charger-Analyzer for intermediate battery systems (5A-Hr to 40A-Hr)

  • The SUPERmini is an instrument designed to charge, trickle charge and analyze (discharge) Nickel-Cadmium, Sealed Lead-Acid and other types of rechargeable batteries.
  • With its multiple modes of operation of Constant Current Charge, Constant Current & Float Charge, Constant Current & Peak Stop Charge, Automatic Discharge (analysis) and Full Discharge (deep cycle), the SUPERmini can satisfy the requirements of most small (0 to 10 A-hr) rechargeable battery systems.
  • The charger features safety interlocks to protect the operator, the charger and the battery in the event of reversed polarity connection, short circuit, open circuit (no load) and overvoltage conditions.
  • Two large LED digital meters permit the simultaneous monitoring of voltage and current, while six indicator lights inform of the status of the operation.
  • An integral electronic timer (w/battery back-up) complements the SUPERmini charge and discharge operations in applications requiring a time limit.
  • Available in two models, SUPERmini 2525 for 25A charge and discharge and SUPERmini 2540 for 25A charge and 40A discharge

 

SPECIFICATIONS

    2. Charge: constant current, programmable: 0 to 25.0A, in steps of 0.1A (100mA).
    Discharge: constant current, programmable: 0 to 25.0A/40.0A, in steps of 0.1A (100mA).

    Discharge: 3 to 24V at full current, up to 44V at reduced current (600W/940W max power dissipation).

  3. MODES

    4. CC - Constant Current Charge.
    CV - Constant Current Charge followed by Constant Voltage Charge.
    PEAK - Constant Current Charge and stop at Peak Voltage.
    ANALYSIS - Capacity Test Discharge.
    DISCH - Full discharge.

  4. VOLTAGE CONTROL

    5. Adjustable: Usable from 3.00 to 44.0V, with an accuracy of 1% ±.1V.

    6. Voltage: 3-1/2 digit, LED digital panel meter, 0 to 19.99 and 199.9V scales.    
    Current: 3-1/2 digit, LED digital panel meter, 0 to 199.9A scale for charge and discharge.  

  6. STATUS INDICATORS

    7. RUN - Output is on.
    CYCLE END - Pulsating (with beeper) to indicate end of a peak charge cycle or any timed cycle.
    PEAK VOLTAGE - The battery has charged to the programmed peak voltage.
    VOLTAGE FAULT - Reversed polarity or overvoltage.
    CAPACITY FAILURE - Low battery voltage on analysis.
    TEMPERATURE - Internal high temperature fault and (optional) external battery Temperature Plate.

  7. CONTROLS

    8. Mode selector switch, RUN-RESET switch, voltmeter scale selector switch, timer speed switch and potentiometer with three digit dial to select the charge and discharge currents.

  8. TIMER

    9. Internal, four digit readout with two digit selector and a speed control switch for HH:MM, MM:SS and high speed test.

  9. CURRENT PROTECTION

    10. Input (line), Charge output and Discharge output circuit breakers and fuses for electronic circuits.

  10. LINE VOLTAGE

    11. 115/208/230/245VAC ±10%, 50-60Hz.

  11. AMBIENT
